Rocky Mountain RoughRiders, proud members of the NAPHL, are pleased to announce that Andrew Miller, 18U goaltender (5'11”/180) has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement* with the Bismarck Bobcats. The Bobcats are members of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Miller, 18, native of Boulder, CO, is currently in his fifth season with the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders. Miller has been a goaltender for the 14U, 16U, and 18U teams starting with the 2014-15 season. Miller boasts a 29-10 win/loss record and a .923 save percentage during his NAPHL games dating back to the 2015-16 season. Andrew was selected to last year's All-NAPHL 18U 1st Team as well as participating in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 All-Star games.
Miller is the first Rocky Mountain RoughRiders' player this season to sign an NAHL tender.
The RoughRiders would like to wish Andrew the best of luck with his future hockey and academic opportunities.
*A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 4, 2019.
